

Renters are responsible to pay for all property damage to the facility resulting directly or indirectly from the conduct of any group member or invitees.Groups need to provide their own utensils, plates, cups/glasses, napkins, condiments and other event related items.Do not take tables or chairs outside of the building. Rental groups are responsible to set up and return tables and chairs to their original location.Examples include electrical equipment or lighting, musical instruments, platforms, props, etc. No special equipment may be brought in without prior approval.The person supervising the activity must be present at the Community Senior Center throughout the duration of the rental use.There is a projection screen and projector, but no laptop.No commercial or "for profit" use of the building is permitted.No amplified music is permitted outside the building without Park Commission approval.The use of all tobacco products is prohibited on Parks & Recreation on property.All service and consumption must meet OLCC requirements. The service and consumption of alcoholic beverages is restricted to the approved rented areas of all City of Hillsboro facilities.Inquire with OLCC at 50 to determine if you need an OLCC Special Events License.

Some situations may require a Special Events License from the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC). Alcoholic beverages may be served at the Community Senior Center only with approval after complying with the Alcohol Usage Policy (see above).

Half the East Room accommodates up to 25 people and the whole East Room accommodates up to 50. This building is wheelchair accessible and the Dining Hall can accommodate up to 200 guests. As the trail bends right you will see a well used unmarked trail leading up and off to the right. When you cross the 2nd little creek, the creek you are looking for is clearly defined as Trail #100 Sheltowee Trace Trail makes a sharp “U” as it crosses this creek, go another 100 feet. When you turn onto the Trail #100 Sheltowee Trace Trail begin counting creek or stream crossings. Turn Right on an unmarked trail and ascend to the base of the Indian Staircase Spur Trail(0.25 miles.) This is the hardest part of the trail to locate and the reason many people never find the Indian Staircase.Turn Left on Trail #100 Sheltowee Trace Trail (0.3 miles).From the Bison Way Trailhead follow Trail #210 Bison Way Trail to the termination of trail #210 Bison Way Trail at the Intersection with Trail #100 Sheltowee Trace Trail.Park in Trail #220 Bison Way Trail Parking Area on right just after bridge after Gladie Historic Site.Take the 1st right onto KY-715 N (9.7 miles).Take Exit 40 for for KY-15/KY-715 toward Beattyville.From rest area at exit #33 off of the Mountain State Parkway Turn left, and return to the Mountain State Park – East (8 miles).The scenery is spectacular, the geology is interesting and, the the top of the staircase is a perfect place to have lunch and explore. Some can hike it faster, but most arrive at the top of the Indian Staircase and spend time exploring and resting. The USDA Forest Office is located in Winchester, Kentucky about an hour from Red River Gorge.
